So this weeks article is about how we all perform our roles and finding refuge from running at 120% of capacity.

I wrote earlier in the week around the application of AI and the building of really well-trained LLMs and how it’s completely changing the go-live for automation platforms like ours. Price is falling and the time it takes to implement even big product ranges has evaporated. But taking off my automation hat there’s another really big impact unfolding. I was reviewing the term sheet of a partner the other day and it was really good and I knew they and their team were being absolutely hammered for time and you could tell from the formatting and the end dashes it was ChatGPT. Which got me thinking about another impact of AI. Performing a task at the average because you’ve just run out of time is now gone. Whether it’s putting together a sales proposal, creating a concept, generating a term sheet, everything basically can be done to 80 or 90 percent of excellent in minutes. So what does that mean? To me it means that not only how we work is changing but the level or the quality that we work at is changing as well. And when we’re 120 percent committed for time there’s a get out of jail option now that’s available that means that we can go and run at the level that we need to to really drive our businesses at the level that we need to achieve in order to get the best out of ourselves.
