A lot of people find it difficult to define automation, let alone workflow automation. So at the risk of being accused of splitting hairs, this week I wanted to talk about these two words and why they are important. So firstly, workflow. Workflow is how work is done, it is the rhythm of how the work flows around the factory. Automation on the other hand is how individual process stages are connected together to remove inefficient and redundant actions. Efficiency is the outcome of combining workflow and automation. And if you have lots of individual processes optimally connected together with the right work flowing through the right process at the right time, then you create a cadence of manufacturing that will put serious dollars back in your bottom line. And that’s what we do. You define a workflow, you automate the process, you therefore achieve a breakthrough in efficiency. If you’d like to know more about what we can do for you in order to make that happen, reach out, we’d love to talk with you about it.
